Right -- my idea with this patch was that whenever an MT fails, peerman demotes
it, so eventually this retrying will reach a live MT (if one exists).

Legacy gunk. :-( Bram Cohen went and changed the name of "Conversation" to
"Widget" in order to show that he didn't like the design of each conversation
having an object of its own. For that and other reasons, that design was
partially abandoned, and we've had a barely useful "widget" argument to outcome
funcs ever since. (Until v0.7.)
