Do you mean, require Python 2.3 for Mnet v0.6.2?  That would be fine with me, 
I guess -- Python 2.3 is what Mnet v0.6.2 has been most thoroughly tested on.

I ran <nw31m> with Python 2.2 overnight last night and it seemed to work just as 
well.
