I really want to get hacking on "ent" -- my next-generation emergent network 
thing, but I want to fix bugs in v0.6.1 (including the fact that the RedHat 
.tar.gz has been truncated to 1/5 of its contents...) first.

Therefore, I'm not going to try to improve the datestamp stuff, and will instead 
revert if it still doesn't work when I'm ready to build new packages.

If Arno (or anyone) still wants to work on it after that, we can un-revert 
(re-revert?) it later.
